Shropshire-based law firm, Hatchers Solicitors LLP have teamed up with Young Britain in Telford to launch a series of ‘Boot Camps’ for fledgling entrepreneurs called ‘The Hatchery’.
‘The Hatchery’ is a nurturing system for new young business owners and is the brainchild of Val Edwards & Jessie Hinds from Hatchers and Fay Easton, co-founder of Young Britain. Located within Hatchers’ new commercial premises on the WelshBridge in Frankwell, The Hatchery will be home to monthly start up events on the third Thursday of every month with free places for 18-30 year old wannebe business owners.
Young Britain is a public-private venture co-funded by husband and wife team Graham and Jenny Wynn of The TTC Group, Telford & Wrekin Council and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), a campaign which aims to help under 30 year-olds ‘make their own job’ through self-employment and entrepreneurship.
Young Britain provides inspiration, motivation, practical tools and entrepreneurial mentoring to create new start-ups and organises access to finance through The Start Up Loans Company for young people seeking to ‘make their own jobs’.
Fay has been working closely with Jessie Hinds, Marketing Coordinator at Hatchers to prepare for the launch on March 20th.
Fay said “It’s been a joy working with Hatchers who are so keen to help the next generation entrepreneurs and Jessie’s energy and enthusiasm for this Start Up programme has been boundless. We hope that word will quickly spread and young people will soon be flocking to this fantastic riverside building to find out that starting a business is simple as long as you have determination and energy. Help with start up practicals and the steps to uncover your own self-belief is here in abundance.”
Jessie said “I am passionate about encouraging young people to peruse their dreams. Young Britain is an amazing organisation, they have already helped so many young people start their own business and I’m thrilled to be able to contribute to this ongoing project. The Hatchery is in a high profile and visible position in the county town, central with plenty of parking; we are also a stones throw from Shrewsbury Train and Bus Stations. The Boot Camp sessions are free but registration is vital as entrance to the venue is by ticket only. If you’ve dreamed of starting your own business or if you think you have a niche idea, book a place on one of our sessions at The Hatchery and it could change your life!”
