Ann Fisher, partner at Hatchers and head of the firm’s business law team, and consultant David Saunders both received recommendations for their work in corporate and commercial matters. Ann was commended for “her really good manner and communication skills”.

Partner Nigel Harrison was recommended for the fifth consecutive year for his employment law work, along with Jack Latham. Jack qualified as a solicitor earlier this year and supports the firm’s business and employment teams. Both departments have seen an increase in instructions from charities and not-for-profit organisations throughout 2016-2017.

Esther Richards, senior associate, and solicitor Jennifer Woods received recommendations for their work in professional negligence, as well as agriculture and estates. Esther heads the dispute resolution team, supported by partner Patrick Gittins, who is also recommended. In 2017, the dispute resolution department has grown from three to five staff to meet growing demand, with two new recruits helping to further enhance the team’s breadth and depth of knowledge.

The firm is also recommended for its work in agriculture and estates with individual recommendations for Val Edwards, partner and head of the agricultural team, senior associate Esther Richards and solicitors Jennifer Woods and Georgia Wakeley.

Managing partner Nigel Harrison commented:

“We are delighted that nine of our lawyers have been recommended in this year’s edition of the UK Legal 500, an increase on previous years, which is testimony to the firm’s commitment to ensuring the highest level of legal expertise is available to our clients.”

“During the course of 2017 we have welcomed a number of new lawyers to Hatchers in order to build on this commitment, and look forward to future growth and an exciting year ahead.”
