Shropshire law firm Hatchers Solicitors has been recognised for the way it supports and manages its staff with an internationally recognised accreditation from Investors in People. After a recent assessment, the firm was praised for amongst other things its support for staff to make decisions in line with their level of responsibility, and the provision of learning and development activities to ensure people can improve their skills and achieve appropriate qualifications. Successful accreditation in the scheme marks the firm out as a great employer, and is a mark of high performance in business and people management.
The assessment report took account of an online survey completed by staff, as well as a staff interviews that were conducted during the process. Feedback from staff revealed an open and transparent culture at the firm, where Partners and Team Managers are committed to engaging, motivating and developing them to achieve their goals. Staff also commented on how they felt trusted and empowered to make decisions, and use their initiative, but that support from management was available when needed.
Commenting on the award, Emma Jones, Operations Director said, “The accreditation is a recognition of Hatchers commitment to retaining and developing our staff. We know our people are our greatest asset and the key to our continued success, so we are delighted to receive such positive and encouraging feedback, especially given the challenges we have all faced over the past 2 years.”
