Hatchers are once again sponsoring the Lecture Marquee at the Shrewsbury Flower Show, which returns on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th August 2022 after a three year break due to Covid.
The show is one of the country’s premier flower show events, attracting top exhibitors from all over the country.
The Lecture Marquee has another interesting and varied programme of seven lectures/demonstrations running continuously from 10.30am to 4.30pm on both days. Each day starts and ends with the ever-popular show favourite of Flower Arranging given by two experts from the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies (NAFAS).
In between these demonstrations, Toby Buckland and Penny Meadmore will be giving lectures, along with the Show’s very own Gardeners’ Question time. After his popular appearance in 2019, celebrity gardener David Domoney will once again be attending.
Other attractions included the well-known television chef, Phil Vickery, as well as The Ronnies (Shropshire based vocal harmony group, specialising in the sounds of the 1940’s) performing live on the Friday evening, and Amy Jones (South African singer songwriter) on stage on the Saturday evening. The daytime arena entertainment includes show jumping, the RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team, and a performance of “Alice in Wonderland – A Very Mad Royal Tea Party.”
Both evenings will end with a stunning firework display.
