The last couple of weeks has seen a double success for Hatchers’ crack team of quizzers, with victory in two events, organised first by BCR Insolvency and then property consultants Bruton Knowles. Both evenings were organised to raise money for the respective firms’ nominated charities, which included local causes the Shropshire Wildlife Trust and Severn Hospice.
The BCR Insolvency event was a particular highlight for Hatchers, as after entering two teams on the night, the firm managed to claim both first and second place.
As well as attending fundraising events organised by other firms, Hatchers have their own extremely active fundraising calendar. The firm holds both internal and external events to raise money for their nominated charities, which this year are Severn Hospice and Sands: The Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity. Hatchers’ very own quiz night is due to take place in September, and will form part of this fundraising effort.
Commenting on the success, Val Edwards, Partner at Hatchers (and part of the winning team on both evenings) said: “Events such as these provide a great opportunity for staff at Hatchers to meet colleagues and friends from other organisations in Shropshire and the surrounding area. The chance to help raise funds for local and national charities is also a key part of our loyalty to and involvement in the local community.
